The Teaching Artist Hub is an initiative of the partnership between The Connecticut Office Of The Arts and Oddfellows Playhouse Youth Theater. This space is created for artists by artists to have a platform of creative, diverse, community-building resources that uplifts the work they do in the community. We aim to support teaching artists to grow through workshops, panel discussions, mentorship, networking and affinity groups. This space is for those who already consider themselves as Teaching Artists and those that aspire to become professional Teaching Artists! All are welcome!
2025 Mentorship Grant
We are seeking teaching artists that have a passion to teach aspiring teaching artists what it takes to be creatives at their best. Mentors should have a skilled, experienced, background in their arts discipline and they should provide guidance, motivation, support and leadership towards a mentee. Mentees 18+ that are open to learn, be advised, trained or counseled by a mentor in their arts discipline are encouraged to apply.

This grant will help you and your mentee create a workshop/project/event as a collaboration over the spring/summer of 2025.

2025 Southern New England Teaching Artist Conference
Join us for the 2025 Southern New England Teaching Artist Conference, a gathering designed to ignite creativity, foster collaboration, and strengthen the role of artists in education and community engagement. This conference brings together teaching artists, educators, and creative leaders for a day of inspiration, professional development, and meaningful connections. Through interactive hands-on workshops, business workshops for artists and healing workshops, this conference is designed to tap into the needs of our arts communities. Keynote speaker Vanessa Ford of Springfield Arts & Culture will open us up followed by workshops and a panel discussion moderated by Shanna Melton on,"How to Build a Sustainable Career as a Teaching Artist.
